Biography
James Gipson / Gibson was born around 1733, an estimate based on his first child being born 1760.
James Gipson married his wife Jane sometime around 1758, but the marriage registration and therefore her maiden name are unknown. They had children from 1760 through to 1775
James was an Innkeeper in St Clement.
In 1781 he leased part of a tenement in Chicois, St Clement[1]
James died and was buried 14 February 1790 in St Clement[2]. He was an innkeeper when he died, in enough debt to require his wife Jane to arrange payment after his death[3]
Research Notes
Although there's no evidence he was out of county, there is a marriage between James Gipson and Joan Dearing on 26 April 1759 in Newton Ferrers, Devon[4]. There are no births registered to this couple in Devon.
