Eliza Jane Gilbert was born in Aghagallon and christened on the 6th July 1819 in Aghalee, county Antrim. Her parents were Stephen Gilbert and Ann Jane.
On the 5th May 1852 in Aghalee, Eliza Jane “daughter of the late Stephen Gilbert”, married James Gilbert, a merchant of Portadown. (His parents were Thomas Gilbert & Sarah Forsyth.)
