Biography
Donathan Gibson is the title personality in an article written by Connie Thornsberry for Searcy County History. The article features a photograph of Dont and Thail Gibson. Dontah's father was Doc, Gibson who came to Searcy County in the early 1800's from Tennessee. Doc had three sons Donathan, Harem and Hoot. The census of Searcy Co. shows Doc Henry J. Gibson and the three sons. Hoot would have to be identified as William on the census. Connie continues by telling about Donathan's wife Mahala (Thail) Clemons also from Tenessee.
