The OPR has a 1712 Donald at Olrig, then another in 1771. The earliest Bower baptism recorded on Scotland's People is Elspet in 1756 to William GEORGESON, William being assumed to be Donald's brother given the Kirk connection and assorted baptismal witnesses between the families
Olrig only features for two GEORGESON baptisms (Donald 1712 and unnamed in 1720).
No apparent GEORGESON baptisms at all 1724 to 1741 on Scotland's People[8]
Note: Watten OPR reads: "28 Feb 1755 matrimonially contracted Donald Georgeson in Kirk in Bower and Esther Miller in Coggill (sic) accomplished 26 Mar 1755" (the igi has conflicting dates: 26 Mar 1755 Watten and 29 Feb 1753 Bower, which is rather far apart to be banns at weekly intervals for 3 weeks! Given the Bower record is an extraction, I had assumed that was the more correct, even though there wasn't a 29th that year, but it is definitely a mistype)[9][10][11]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Donald by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Donald:
