Earl John Georgeson, Jr., passed away September 26, 2012. Earl was born June 3, 1921, in Antigo, Wisconsin, to Earl John and Edna Beattie Georgeson. He was an alumnus of Northland College, and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was stationed in the South Pacific and was discharged as a captain. He met and married Drusylla Wells in 1945 in Grand Island, Nebraska, while still in the Air Corps. Earl and Dru had two children and moved their family from Wisconsin to Denver in 1955. The couple also lived in Brush and Colorado Springs. Earl was an active participant in the business and finance community in Colorado, and was Chairman of the Board of Pikes Peak National Bank at the time of his death. He had recently moved to Arvada. Earl made friends wherever he went and was equally at home with bankers, farmers, adults and little children. He liked people and enjoyed telling stories. He loved his family and his pets, and took good care of all of them. Earl was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Dru, and by his brother, Maurice. He is survived by his son John; daughter-in-law Sandy; daughter Jody; grandson Jeff and his wife Sylphi Hudson; granddaughter Jennifer Schneider and her husband Blaise; and two great-grandsons, John and Charlie Schneider.
