Alvin Wayne Long was born in Riverside, California on 9 Dec 1923. He was the son of Clyde George and Elizabeth Long. He was their oldest child, and it was certainly sad that he was killed in an auto and train accident shortly before his seventeenth birthday on 27 Nov 1940 in Riverside, California.
