Biography

Grace was born in 1905. ^[1] She was the daughter of Robert Gardiner (Abt 1863 - 1 Jan 1931) and Sarah Ellen Layden (10 Mar 1873 - 7 Oct 1966).

She married Charles Alexander Edward Phillott in 1924. ^[2]

A pretty little bride bloomed out at Wyandra last week. She was Grace Gardiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Gardiner, of the Retreat. Station-man Charles Phillott of Wallal, Charleville, took her into safe keeping until death do them part. Father Maloney, an old friend of the bride, tying the knot safely, she did the deed in the regulation white satin with a georgette over-dress and a beautiful Brussels lace veil arranged to give a Spanish effect.
Berry Bardwell did his duty as best man, and Johnno Hall went up from Brisbane to be groomsman.
The fuss over the newly-weds started off for a motor trip that will take them all through the South.

Grace passed away in 2001 and is buried in Lutwyche Cemetery, Kedron, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. ^{[4] [5]}
