Biography

Not many records have been found for Elizabeth "Bessie" Gardiner. She likely married James Crawford by 1695 as their first known child was baptized in 1697. This would place her birth date likely at about 1675 or earlier. Possibly she had a different maiden name and her marriage to James Crawford was not her first but being listed as "Bessie Gardiner" on her daughter Elizabeth's marriage record would seem to indicate it was her maiden name.
