Biography

Ariaantje was born about 1678.[1] [2] She was the daughter of Jan Gardenier and Sarah Van Bremen.

Ariaantje Gardinier married John Woodcock on 19 May 1702. Marriage record states that John Woodcock was born in Yorkshire, Old England, and Ariaantje Gardeniers was born at Kinderhook. They were married at the church at Kinderhook. The marriage was registered at New Albany church and consent was given by Capt. Bennet. [3]

Four children (Johanna, Jan, Abraham, Yzaak) were baptized 1702-1707 in Albany, NY. Son Dirck was baptized in 1718 in Kinderhook, NY. [4]
