Aaron married Elizabeth UNKNOWN in 1740. Sometime before mid-1746 he moved to Granville Co., NC. In 1764 Bute Co. was formed from a portion of Granville Co. Aaron's land lay in Bute; in 1779. Bute was abolished and Franklin and Warren counties were formed. Aaron's land lay in that part which became Warren Co.
LAND RECORD AND NOTE
In October 1735, Aaron received three land patents totaling 1,020 acres in Bertie, NC. Names spelled Fuzell, Fuzzell, and Fussell on patents.
WILL
Aaron made his will on 12 Aug 1776 in Bute, NC. It was probated July Court 1783 in Warren, NC. Mentions: Son Thomas Fussell, daughter Elisabeth Cate, daughter Ann Wooten, daughter Jean Strother, son Aaron Fussell, daughter Lewsey Floyd, and son Moses Fussell -- five shillings each. Son William Fussell - 100 acres on the N side of Sandy Creek adj. Aaron Fussell's spring, Benjamin Ward, James Arenoll, David Arenoll and John Estes, it being the plantation that Aaron lived on but he is not to disturb nor interrupt his mother of any liberty on the plantation or land during her life or widowhood; also left William one feather bed and furniture, ye maire that is now called his maire, one bridle and saddle, one cow and calf, one sow and pigs, one puter dish, one puter baison, two plates, and six spunes and one torn pot and two sheep. Wife Elizabeth Fussell - remaining parts of his personal estate after his just debts paid during her life or widowhood, with reversion to my son William after her death, but Negro Ben is for my son Moses. Exec: wife, sons Aaron and William. Signed his name. Wit: James (x) Arenoll, John Estess.
NOTE
His father appointed Aaron the executor of his will. His father's will stated the following: "As for my son, Aaron Fussell, I make him my fully and wholly Executor of all the rest of my Personal Estate."
