Biography
Laura was born in 1868, the daughter of William Frude and Mary Frude.
England and Wales Census, 1871: Living with her parents and siblings in Cottage & Farm Houses, St Winnow, Cornwall, England. Aged 2.
Her family emigrated from England to New Zealand on the Ship Opawa, departing Plymouth, England sailing to Timaru, New Zealand - 7 September 1878 to 7 December 1878.[1]
Passengers intended for Timaru were berthed at Lyttelton due to gale force winds.
