Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.
Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.

It looks like you are having difficulty with our volunteer process. Sorry about that! Start by going to your Navigation Home Page, and look for instructions there.
If that doesnt work, please post a brief message about your genealogical interests in the public comments on your profile. We can then complete the process manually. Please send me a private message or post in my public comments on my profile page.

The confirmation for WikiTree guest access comes to you as an email, so you may need to check your inbox and spam folder. If you cannot find the email, a new confirmation email can be generated at E-mail confirmation problems. Please let me know if you have any questions about this or anything about WikiTree. :-)
