Alex was born Alexander Robert Godfrey Farmer on the 21st of March, 1924, in New Zealand, the 2nd of 3 children of Robert Farmer and Annie Becker.[citation needed]

At 18, in 1942, he was a labourer, at Poolburn, Oturehua, Otago, New Zealand.[1]

At about 19, in about 1943, he married Joan Elizabeth Munro in New Zealand [2]and they had 4 children.[citation needed]

At 22, in 1946, he was a beekeeper, with Joan at Kurow, Canterbury.[3]

At 30, 1954, a beekeeper with Joan, at Kurow, he moved to Farming, at Ngapara, Oamaru.[4][5][6][7]

At 52, on the 9th of December, 1976, he lost Joan by death in Oamaru Otago, New Zealand.[citation needed]

At 54, in 1978, he was a Farmer, living at 422 Redcastle Road, Oamaru, Otago.[8]

At 54, in 1979, he married (private) at Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand.[citation needed]

At 56, in 1981, a Farmer, he was living with (private) at 47 Hull Street, Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand.[9]

At 79, on the 25th of May, 2003, he died at his residence, Oamaru, [citation needed] and was buried in the Oamaru Lawn Cemetery, Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand.[citation needed]
