Francis Faris was born in 1835 in Ireland. He was a son of John Faris, Esq, solicitor, and Clamina Beggs.
He was killed, aged 25 years, as a result of a fall from a horse on 10th June 1860 at Geelong, Victoria.[1] There was an inquest into his death and an account of the accident can be found in The Argus, Tuesday 19 June 1860, page 5 Geelong.[2][3] He is buried in Geelong Western Public Cemetery.[4]
