Biography
John was born in 1824. He was a pioneering settler in New Zealand. Bicena was his second wife (of three). He was a J.P. and at one time Acting Magistrate for the South Auckland district. His home, Glen Grove, was one of the first European houses built in the district and later became the Clevedon Country Club; it eventually burned down.[1]. He passed away in 1893. [2]
