yDNA testing shows a descendant of George is spot on the modal STRs (at 67 markers) for the haplogroup I1 tested Fairbairns.

BigY testing provides a haplogroup of I-BY21372 where yFull (ID YF14549) places this under I-Y32666, where all the matching Fairbairns belong to date,

and more specifically on sub branch I-A14330 which George's descendant shares with the descendants of John Fairbairn (married Bessie Flint)

More yDNA testers are wanted to confirm this yDNA signature, and to provide additional information on where the lines shown as connected, actually connect.
