Intro

Several trees show this Robert, married to Margaret WEIR, as the son of Daniel and Annie (CLARK) FAIRBAIRN (link goes to the latter's page in the FAIRBAIRN One Name Study).

However this ploughman's marriage cert. shows him to be the son of William FAIRBAIRN and Agnes TURNER instead. Both Roberts were born Bothwell, 1857/1858.^[1]
