Presumed to be in Smith Peterborough, Ontario somewhere with wife Eliza, but not with chldren James, Hannah, John, Andrew, Margaret, Alexander , Sophia, Nichlas & George who are enumerated together there, nor with the separate 1861 census entry showing James and Hannah without the rest of the siblings, between two Hall families which couples were born Scotland.
Research Notes
Who were Andrew's parents?
Andrew is often shown as born 1804, Peebles-shire, the child of Francis & Isabella Fairbairn.
This id seems unlikely to me as this family were baptizing their children in Kelso. In addition none of the known children of Andrew and Eliza were named as Francis or Isabella Henderson-2297 23:33, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
Another possibility is that he belongs to James & Margaret (HOG) FAIRAIRN of Winkerstanes
This comes from exploring the family information that Andrew had a sister Mary who married John DARLING at Duns.[6] where there is additional circumstantial evidence that Mary may well have come from Fogo, the daughter of James & Margaret (HOG) FAIRBAIRN, James being the smith at Whinkerstones.
Naming patterns are fallible, but at the very least, Andrew's eldest son is believed to have been a James, and Mary's indicate her parents may be a James and Margaret Henderson-2297 23:33, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
