John Excell was born in Marden, Kent, England.
John Henry William Excell was born in 1857 in Marden, Kent, England to parents Humphrey Augustus Excell and Elizabeth Smith.
In 1861 he was age 4 and living with his parents and siblings in Marden, Maidstone, Kent, England. His father was an agricultural laborer.[1]
In 1871 he was age 13 and living with his parents and siblings in Marden, Kent, England. His father was an agricultural laborer.[2]
He emigrated to New Zealand before 1894.
He married Hannah Hallam in 1894 in New Zealand.[3]
