Biography
Samuel was born in Glamorgan in 1859. [1]
His first wife was Rachel Rees Thomas, they were married in Neath district, Wales in 1887, Rachel died in 1889. [2]
Samuel's second wife was Blanche Rule De Pinto, they were married in St George Hanover Square district in 1905. [3]
The following marriage announcement appeared in the Brecon County Times, dated 24 February 1905 [4]
- The marriage of Mr S T Evans. The marriage was solemnised on Tuesday, at King's Weigh House Congregational Church, Grosvenor Square London, of Mr S.T. Evans K.C., M.P., and Mrs Blanche R De Pinto, widow of the late Mr Herbert De Pinto, and daughter of the late Mr Charles Rule of Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend Archibald Fleming, St Columba's church of Scotland, and Rev., H Elvet Lewis, of the Welsh Congregational Church, King's Cross. The bride was given away by her nephew, Mr James Briggs. The best man was Mr Lloyd Morgan, M.P.
He passed away in Hove, Sussex on 13 September 1918 [5], and was buried in Skewen, Glamorganshire on 18 September 1918 [6]
