Hi Alan, thanks for your many Wikitree contributions. Just a quick reminder that when you create a pre-1700 profile a reliable source is required at the time of creation rather than being added at a later date.
Hi Alan! I see that you added sources to a profile https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sellen-78 and that is wonderful. I wanted to mention, though, that when you "hide" a url in square brackets, you also need to add some informative link text. Otherwise, the url gets turned into an anonymous number and it can cause a lot of confusing problems with indexed references. Plus, it makes it difficult to see and click on for some people.
Thanks for taking responsibility for more Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.
If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
I think the tone of your note was a little bit demanding,
It would be more polite just to instigate a merge rather than add your personal comments as to how things should be done.
why should Mary Fuller (fuller-334) be removed from her 'incorrect parents' when William Fuller (fuller-335) is clearly her correct father?
To concerned parties, Philip Clark, Melanie Hearty, Rod Kennedy, Daryl Murphy
There appears to be a mix-up in 2 entries for Mary Fuller and her father who has 3 entries for William Fuller.
Mary Fuller-2334 (being the earlier number), should be removed from her incorrect parents, William Fuller-2335 and Mary UNKNOWN-185436, and merged with Mary Fuller-9012.
Mary's correct father has been recorded twice and I have initiated a merge between William Fuller-8983 and William Fuller-6399.

Thank you for your excellent work on the Kulper family references. Quite a bit of effort for a small part of your family history which benefits lots of others. Thank you

Thanks for you contributions to the de Mamiel family.
You might be interested in the changes I have made to the profiles of Sophia Elizabeth (de Mamiel) Foley and Hugh Foley. I am in the process of "cleaning up" profiles I loaded from a GEDCOM upload in January.
As you might have guessed I am related to members of the Foley family because of my Hynes ancestry.
