Biography

Richard was born in Concord, New Hampshire in 1907, the only child of William Dunlap and Lida Hawkes. Known as "Red" Dunlap in his youth, Uncle Dick was an avid fisherman and hunter and managed a sporting goods store. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II in Italy and France.

He and Margaret Taylor married in Concord in 1949. They had three children and five grandchildren. In retirement, Dick and Maggie traveled widely. He died while on a trip in western United States in 1983 and is buried in Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.
