My (Scottish) Robertson 3 x Grt Grandparents arrived India in 1817 - He died 2yrs on - she re-married & I have half distant cousins via this line. His lines remained India for another 4 gens. My (Scottish) Dunbar ancestor (& brother) arrived India c,late 1830s - also remained India for another 4 generations. My (Irish) Sheels ancestor arrived in 1830s & died during Indian Mutiny of 1857, Various lateral connections via additional marriages also remained in India. Am aware of a host of other surnames due to 2nd & 3rd marriages & to siblings each generation down to post 1947. English lines arrived late 1700s. All these are of my paternal lines. I am not very IT savvy & have archaic tech equipment. Have basic trees on Ancestry & familysearch.org - need updating. Happy to share info.

Dear Laura, Thanks for the greeting. It will take much time to get through my extensive Tree which I hope will assist others. However there will be complications....for example my father had 5 wives (all dec.) but I have never been able to discover the name or particulars re his 1st wife .....only that her existence was confirmed by his 1st half sister-in-law before she passed some years back. What to do about that? Then I insist including full names (due to repetitive naming as they did back then). I'm sure I'll get muddled along the way! What is a GDG link? Time for bed - HooRoo, Jenny
