In the 1871 census Elizabeth (age 75) was the mother-in-law of James Leckie at 6 Lochead Close, Edinburgh Canongate, Midlothian.[4]the birthplace on scotlandspeople image is lasswade, Edinburghshire.
Elizabeth died 4 June 1877 at 4 Lochead close, canongate, edinburgh aged 76 from valvular disease of the heart(1 month 6 days). parents John dudgeon, Tailor, deceased and Alison dudgeon M.S. Scott deceased. informant was her daughter Margaret Lockie.[5]
