British Conservative Party politician. He was the son of Arthur Campbell Duckworth and Viola Emily Augusta Margaret Davies-Evans.
He married, firstly, Alice Frances Hammond, daughter of John Henry Hammond and Emily Vanderbilt Sloane, on 26 March 1927. Together they had four children, after which they were divorced and she later married Benny Goodman.
He was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Shrewsbury at the 1929 general election. He was re-elected in 1931 and 1935, and held the seat until he retired from the House of Commons at the 1945 election.
In 1936, he won 7th place in the ballot for private member's bills, and proposed to bring forward a Medical and Surgical Appliances (Advertisement) Bill. He announced in April 1945 that he would not stand again at the next election.
He married, secondly, Elisabeth Ehrenfeld on 3 October 1945 at St. Mary's Church, Orchardleigh Park, Frome, Somerset, England and had two children.
He died on 14 November 1986 at age 85 at Bath, Somerset, England and was buried at St Mary The Virgin Churchyard in Orchardleigh, Mendip District, Somerset.
