Biography

Rachel Drury was born in Grafton, Massachusetts on October 11, 1728, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Drury. [1]

She married Simon Brooks on October 22, 1747 in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. [1] Her husband Simon was born at Concord, Massachusetts on September 21, 1722, son of Ebenezer Brooks and Sarah Fletcher. [2]

In the settlement of Rachel's father Thomas Drury's estate, Elijah Drury, administrator, was ordered to distribute the remaining balance to the heirs, including a share to Rachel Brooks, wife of Simon Brooks. [3]

Simon died March 24, 1808 and was buried at Alstead, New Hampshire. [4]

Rachel died on October 11, 1816 and is buried with her husband. [5]
