Homer was born on February 20, 1934 at Lawrenceburg in Anderson County, Kentucky. He was the son of Harvey Drury and Temprance ( Payton ) Drury. He married Florence May Crowley on July 3, 1953 in Anderson County, Tennessee. Homer passed away on September 21, 2006 at home in Knoxville, Tennessee.
