Biography

Lois was the daughter Walter C. Drury, Jr. and Carolyn V. Caldwell. On 4 October 1969 she married Willard J. Jennings. He died on 11 October 1969. They had no children. Lois died in 1982. She was buried in National Cemetery, Falls Church, Virginia.

Lois A. Jennings, 36, a Southern Baptist Missionary in Brazil and a former resident of the Washington area, was killed June 25 in a traffic accident near Campina Grande, Brazil.
A spokesman for the Baptist Foreign Mission Board in Richmond, Va., said Mrs. Jennings and two other persons were riding in a car that struck the back of a truck.
Mrs. Jennings, who was born in Birmingham, Ala., grew up in the Washington area. She graduated from Yorktown High School in Arlington, attended Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Va., and graduated from Old Dominion University. She was a clerk-typist at the Joint Armed Forces Housing Office at Fort Myer in 1971 and 1972 and a clerk-typist at the Veterans Administration in 1972.
In 1973, after attending the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., she went to Brazil as a missionary. She was director of a goodwill center in Natal, Brazil, at the time of her death.
Her husband, Willard J. Jennings, died in 1969. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Drury of Ormond Beach, Fla., and a brother, Walter C. III of Lauderhill, Fla.[2]
