Adrian was born in 1920. He was the son of Edward Douglas and Marguerite MacPherson.
When the 2nd World War broke out Adrian, along with his brothers Wallace and Herbert enrolled.
Adrian and Wallace sailed to Canada with the Royal New Zealand Air Force in 1940; their brother Herby also joined the Air Force, serving as ground crew in the Pacific.
His brother Wallace died in April 1943.
Sadly Adrian was killed in action, shot down and killed over Germany on 6 September 1943. He was just 23 years of age.
