Biography

1776 Project
Ezra Doud performed Patriotic Service in Connecticut in the American Revolution.

Ezra was born November 21, 1732, Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut, son of Isaac and Abigail (Stevens) Doud. He was married 12 June 1755 to Mary Taylor.

In 1776, Ezra and his brother Amos signed the "Farmington Oath of Fidelity to the Colonies".[1]

He appears in Hartford County, Connecticut, in the 1800 Census and 1810 Census.

His will was dated 1803 and probated on 28 January 1814, Simsbury Probate District (his sons Stephen and Samuel named as Executors).
