Arthur John Doidge was born on 13 June 1878 in Nelson, New Zealand, son of John Doidge and Hannah Walker.
Arthur (30) married Elizabeth Dunlop (27) in 1909 in New Zealand. They do not appear to have had any children.
Arthur died on 24 July 1966 in Palmerston North, Wellington, New Zealand, aged 88. He was buried in Shannon Cemetery, Shannon, Horowhenua District, Manawatū-Whanganui, New Zealand (plot: Block: General, Row: K, Plot: 86).
