Jane Dickson (or Dixon) was born about 1780 at Sydenham House, Kelso, Scotland. She was the daughter of Admiral William Dickson and Jane Collingwood,[1] and step-daughter of Elizabeth Charteris.
She married her cousin Archibald Dickson in September 1801 in Kelso.[2] Archibald and Jane were cousins twice over:
