Biography

John Blatchford Dennis was born in 1894 in the R. M. of Westbourne, Manitoba, Canada. He was the son of George Dennis and Mary Jane Karr or Kerr. ^[1]

In the 1901 census John (age 6) was the son of George Dennes in Macdonald, Manitoba, Canada. Their faith was Episcopalian.^[2]

In the 1906 census John (age 12) was the son of George Dennis in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada.^[3]

In the 1911 census John was the single son of George Dennis in Vancouver Sub-Districts 51-76, British Columbia, Canada.^[4]

Blatchford (age 27, farmer, bachelor), son of George Dennis & Mary J Carr, married Alice Standeven (age 30, spinster) on 1 February 1922 in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They were both residing in Rosedale and were of Presbyterian faith. Alice was the daughter of William Standeven and Kate Bedford; both of England.^[5] They had at least two children.

He passed away in 1959 in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.^[6] John was mentioned on a memorial in Chilliwack Cemeteries, Chilliwack, Fraser Valley Regional District, British Columbia, Canada with a death date of 1959.^[7]
