Sir John Delves of Delves Hall was sheriff of Staffordshire and comptroller of the petty customs at London. He was also warden of the Mint, temp Henry VI. ^[3]

1471 Death at Battle of Tewksbury

Sir John Delves, Sheriff of Stafford died on 6 May 1471, Slain at the battle of Tewkesbury.^[4]

Having been knighted, he was slain at the battle of Tewksbury, and attainted by parliament for his adherence to the house of Lancaster. ^[3]
