We appreciate all you have done on WikiTree. Due to lack of participation in Pre-1500 activities, your Pre-1500 badge has been removed per https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1500_Profiles#Removal_of_the_badge
Hi Carlos,

Which ancestors of yours came from Madeira? I have a paternal line from there.

Hello! Many indeed, but mixed (maternal / paternal) . One branch is for example https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/De%20Goes-1 and other branch https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Drummond-2065 . I'll cross the relationship finder with your profile, let's see.

The relationship tool says we are 24th cousins twice removed (in the search of until 30 generations). Cool.

Hi Carlos,

Awhile ago you showed interest in joining the England Project.

After our intial email, we seem to have lost contact.

I would love to help you join the project, so please let me know if you are still interested, and we can get things moving again.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you

Wendy

Hi Carlos, congratulations on your pre-1500 badge!
Carlos, I've awarded you the Latin American Roots project badge. I hope you'll find the experience interesting and useful. Kind regards, Patrick

Congratulations on your Pre-1500 badge. When working these profiles make sure you are talking to others within the group to validate your sources. Quick notes on G2G with the tag Pre-1500 will get everyone's attention. Again, thanks for all of your hard work.

Thanks for continuing the research on the Madeira families. I have found some conflicting dates around and the profiles will need a bit of work to make sense (there are siblings born like 50 years apart). I can't really research it myself as I can't speak Portuguese and I'm not familiar with these families, but the lines are interesting and I'd love to see them fixed.

I thought you might be want to contact Luiz Sergio Heinzelmann, but he's worked on Açores families, not Madeira.

Carlos,

To expand on Dave's note below, you need a pre-1500 badge to work on anyone born before 1500. You are not allowed to create a profile for someone before 1500, even if you don't put a date on it. For example, you are not allowed to add the parents of someone born in 1501 or even a bit later. The system won't prevent you, but still it is not allowed.

Thanks for your understanding. Isabelle

Hi Carlos, as you probably know Wikitree has some restrictions on who can create and edit pre-1500 and pre-1700 profiles. If you are interested in working on these profiles, you can apply for the pre-1500 badge. Information about that can be found here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pre-1500_Profiles

In the meantime please do not create profiles for people born before these dates. Thanks. Dave
