Louis Day was born in Tasmania -

George & Mary DAY with their children Peter, John and Louis came to New Zealand abt 1868. It is not known whether Simon, Elizabeth or Annie came. [1]

- The death occurred in the Oamaru public hospital on the 29th December, of Louis Day aged 58 years. Day was for years a resident in the Weddeiburn district (Central Otago). He was a native of Tasmania.
