Biography
Selina's birthplace listed on birth record as The Ponds, Port de Grave, Newfoundland, but on marriage record as Spaniard's Bay, Newfoundland, and listed on death certificate as St. John's, Newfoundland. Also note that her birth record has her year of birth as 1876, which coincides with her marriage record age of 20 in 1896. These are different than her death certificate year of birth as 1875.
1876 seems the most likely, as it is listed after numerous other records on her birth record of births in late 1875 and early 1876.
Buried at Camp Hill Cemetery, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Son Russell's marriage record notes her name as 'Mary Selina Daw', while son Percy's marriage record notes name as 'Celina Dow'.[1]
