Research Notes
Some trees initially had an earlier David, supposedly baptized 1826 at Tavistock, so presumed to have died prior to the 1836 baptism of a "second" David.
No supporting evidence has been found that this earlier David exists. Assumed to have arisen from a birth year typo.
Immigration:
I had David as emigrating in 1856 on the "Kent" but checking that entry it is for a 20 yr old (tick) carpenter (poss.), with a 26yr old "Elizth". Who is?????
David's sister Elizabeth, actually know as Betsy, had a daughter Elizabeth in 1856 back in Devonport so it seems unlikely to be her (and was 33 at the time)
