In the England 1851 Census[4] Joseph (age 58) was head of house in Warbleton, Sussex. His wife Elizabeth (age 55 - Occupation: Agricultural Labourer) and their children Henry (age 24 - Occupation: Brick and Tile Maker) and Harriet (age 14) were with him.
Death
Joseph died in 1856 and was buried[5] on 14 January 1856 in Warbleton, Sussex
