Dewes (age 24), married Mary E Rande on 13 July 1898 in North Adams, Massachusetts, United States.[2]
He passed away in 1921 in Northampton, Massachusetts. His body was returned to North Adams, Massachusetts, where he had lived for a number of years and worked at the Hoosac Cotton company. He was buried in Hillside Cemetery. Dewey was survived by a wife, four brothers, and a sister.[3]
Research Notes
Dewey's race was listed as mulatto in the 1880 census, but white in later records. He appear to have married a woman who was white.
