John Davidson of East Watten married Lilly Holm (or Horne) of Watten, in Watten on 27 July 1812.[1] On 26 July 1812 Lilly Holm of East Watten appears in the minutes of the Watten parish kirk. She was "interrogated" as to whether she was with child and acknowledged that she was and named John Davidson of East Watten as the father. The session closed with prayer - the fact the couple married the next day could be why neither of them received further sanction from the church elders.[2] Their son, Donald, was baptised the following month on 26 August 1812.[3]
Thomas Davidson, son of John Davidson and "Lillas Holm", was born about 1814 and baptised in Watten, Caithness, on 25 November 1814.[4]
