Biography
Augusta Henderson Dalgleish was born on 23rd October 1853. [1][2]
Augusta (Dalgleish) Sanderson migrated from New Zealand to Western Australia.
Augusta married Bengal-born William Sanderson on 2nd April 1878 in Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand. [3] They had five sons and a daughter in Oamaru, [4] before moving to Western Australia (Australia) in 1893. [5] Another son was born there later in 1891, however, both the young lad and his father died in Western Australia in 1893.
Augusta's children were:
- George Dalgleish Sanderson (1879-1961 New South Wales)
- Alexander Sanderson (1882-1971 England)
- Victor Dearsley Sanderson (1883-91 New Zealand)
- Francis Randall Sanderson (1885-1955 New South Wales)
- Margaret Maine Sanderson (1887-1923 Western Australia)
- William Lauchlan Sanderson (1890-1957 South Australia)
- Murchison Sanderson (1891-93 Western Australia)
Aged 92 years, Augusta passed away in 1946 in Bromley, Kent, England; where she was residing with second son, Alexander. [6][1] She was survived by four sons and at least four grandchildren.
