Arthur Herrington Curnick was born on the 18th November 1840[1] at Battersea, Surrey, England[2][3] and was baptised on the 13th December 1840 at Batteresa, Surrey, England, the son of George Curnick[3][4] and Maria Curnick[3][4][5]
Arthur Herrington emigrated to Australia with his parents & siblings, sailing from London aboard the "Northumbria". He arrived at Port of Melbourne on 5th January 1853 as un-assisted migrants.[6]
On the 10?th February 1863, Arthur Curnick married Heanora Quigley at St. Mark?, Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia. Arthur was recorded as being a bachelor, born London [sic], and occupied as a labourer of 22 East Collingwood, son of George Curnick (sawyer) and Maria Mace[4]

In the matter of Bankruptcy Acts, and in the matter of ARTHUR HERRINGTON CURNICK of Woodstock, miner, a bankrupt
TAKE NOTICE that Tuesday the 4th day of January next, 1870 is apponted for me to pass my last examination, and unless the Court otherwise directs, to apply for my discharge, and take notice that such application will thereupon be made.
Arthur appears to have changes his middle name from Herrington to Harrington between 1869 and 1879.
In 1879, Arthur Harrington, a sawyer of Woodstock, New Zealand declared his bankruptcy[8]
Arthur's wife Honora died aged 44-45 years in 1883.[3][9]
"DEATH
CURNICK.-On the 18th September, inst. (1883) at her late residence, Weld Steet, Hokitika, Hanora Curnick, the beloved wife of Arthur H. Curnick, aged 44."[10]
On the 13th February 1887, Arthur Harrington married widow Mary Ann Ecclestone. Arthur was recorded as being a widower (decease of former wife in 1884) with 9 children born to his former wife. He was recorded as being born in Surrey England, aged 46 years (b. abt. 1841) occupied as a carpenter of Saint Kilda and the son of George Curnick (sawyer) and Maria Curnick (maiden name Maise [sic].[3]
In 1889, Arthur Harrington was living at St. Kilda, New Zealand.[11]
In 1899, Arthur Harrington was living at North Fremantle, West Australia.[12][13]
Arthur Harrington Curnick died on the 16th May 1907 at North Fremantle (Western Australia, Australia)[14]
"FUNERAL
THE LATE MR. A. H. CURNICK
The Funeral of the late Mr. Arthur Harrington [sic] Curnick, lately caretaker of the North Fremantle Oval, took place on Friday, and was largely attended.
The cortege left the late residence of the deceased, Thompson Road, North Fremantle, for the Karrakatta cemetery, where the remains were interred in the Church of England portion.
The chief mourners were:- Mr. James H. Curnick (son), Mrs. Curnick (widow), Mrs. W. Kenny and Mrs. Elford (daughters), Messrs. Frederick and Albert Ecclestone (step-sons, Mrs. F. Ecclestone and Mrs. Albert Ecclestone (stepdaughters). Numerous wreaths and floral tributes were sent. The Rev. D. Davies Moore officiated at the graveside, and the funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Arthur E. Davies & Co.
The deceased arrived in Victoria in the year 1852 [sic] and proceeded to Ballarat where he took part in the Eureka Stockade Affair, together with his father and brother, remaining there for about 10 years. He then went to New Zealand and stayed there for 20 years, being engaged chiefly in mining. Then he returned to Victoria and after nine years came to W.A. (Western Australia), where he has lived for the last 13 years. He followed his trade of carpenter for the Harbour Works for about 7 years."[15]

George Arthur's second wife Mary Ann died in 1915.
