Biography
John Crow migrated from England to New Zealand.
John was born about 1863. He was the son of Thomas Skinner Crow and Elizabeth Burrell.[1]
He emigrated from England to New Zealand on board the ship Surat in 1864, with his parents, and one sister and brother,
He married Marian Emma Marsh in 1890. They had at least seven children:
- Samuel Thomas Skinner (b. 1891)
- Elizabeth Maria (b. 1892)
- William George (b. 1893)
- Clara Eva Marion (b. 1894)
- John Mallard (b. 1895)
- Ethel Maud (b. 1897)
- Charles Hide (b. 1900)
He died in 1900, aged 37 from accidental drowning.
THE NEW ZEALAND HERALD 19 Sept 1900 DEATHS CROW - On September 7, accidentally drowned in the Waitara River, John Thomas dearly beloved eldest son of Mrs Crow, Otahuhu, in his 38th year.
