Curious how I might be able to find a copy of Shake the Branches. Cecil gave my mother one years ago. Would love to see it again. Cheers. My email is [email address removed]
I probably have a copy similar to your mother's copy, from the 1970's. Cecil gave one to my father, which I inherited, and it’s in fragile condition but intact. There is a land line phone number for Cecil provided within the book. I phoned him 10 years ago to update him on my parents' passing, as well as the birth news of my children. He said he still planned to do an update, maybe on-line, and that he had a databank of photos. But we never spoke again. I have no idea if he did the update or if he can be reached at the old phone number. In general, I used his book as a starting point but used government censuses and other on-line records to go back further in time and to verify the records.
Thank you, Mattie, for every one of your more than one thousand contributions to our Shared Tree during the month of September. The Appreciation Team honors you for all of your efforts.
Hi, Mattie, I see we are cousins! I've also been reviewing edits to Acadian project profiles. You have previously posted images from PRDH on at least one profile. PRDH material is copyrighted, so we may not post those on Wikitree. We don't want to jeopardize our ability to see and use PRDH by illegally posting their images. I removed the ones I found, and ask that you remove any you come across in the course of your work. Thank you!
Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I am checking in to see how it is going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had time to look, were they helpful?
I'm here to help with questions about how WikiTree works. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.
PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.
Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.
Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.
Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.
Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.
