Rosetta Pearl Courts, better known as Pearl Courts, the daughter of George E. Courts and Fanny Huey, was born 15 September 1887 in Franklin Township. Although some records indicate that her name was Pearl Rosetta, her mother's obituary cites her first name as Rosetta. She married Charles Cowdrey on 30 May 1909 and her father gave her a house and property in New Hope as a dowry. She died in Georgetown on 6 August 1982 and was buried in Confidence Cemetery.
