Biography
Henry Courtis was born in 1831. He was the son of William and Elizabeth Courtis.
He was a gas engineer.
He passed away in 1883 at the residence of his daughter in Sandhurst (now Bendigo). [1]
- COURTIS.—On the 20th inst., at St Luke's Parsonage, White-hllls, Sandhurst, Henry Courtis, gas engineer.[2]
He is buried in St Kilda cemetery, where Sarah Ann, who died the year before, is buried. [3]
- PROBATE of the WILL of HENRY COURTIS, late of Whitehills, Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, Gas Engineer, deceased, GRANTED to William Arthur Courtis, of Moray street, Emerald Hill, Victoria, Engineer, and George Henry Kirk, of White Hills, Sandhurst, aforesaid, Clergyman, the joint Executors appointed by said will, Dated 1st September, 1881.[4]
