Biography

Lucy Cook was born on December 25, 1904 in Robertson County, Tennessee, United States, daughter of John Anderson Cook (~1871–1911) and Nettie Belle Baker (1880–1911).^[1]

Her child was Claude Jr. Woodall Jr

In 1910, Lucy (5) was living in the household of John A Cook (39) in Civil District 2, Robertson County, Tennessee: John A (39), Nettie (28), Mossie L (10), Lucy (5), Lucille (5), John (2); and Will J Merrifield (42). ^[1]

In 1920, Lucy (15) and her siblings were living in the "Baptist Orphanage" in Civil District 15, Williamson County, Tennessee: John B. (12), Lucy (15), and Lucile (15). ^[2]

In 1930, Lucy (25) and her sister were boarding in the household of Mattie Taylor (52) at 1214 Ordway Place, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee: Mattie Taylor (52), Lucile Cooke (23), and Lucy Cooke (23), and others. ^[3]

Lucy (30) married Claude Allen Woodall (30) (born on October 12, 1905 in Nashville) in November, 1935.

In 1940, Lucy (35) was living in household of her husband, Claude Woodall (34) in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee: Claude (34); Lucy (34), Mollie Woodall (58), and Lawrence Woodall (14). ^[4]

Lucy died on February 24, 1984 in Nashville, aged 79.^[5]

As told to me by my mother, Elaine Hines Corlew, both Lucy and her twin sister, Lucille, went to Robertson County and found someone who remembered them as children.
