Jno. Conety, full age, Bachelor, Seaman, of High Street, Bluetown, (son of Philip Conety, Wine Merchant) & Selina Creber, full age, Spinster, of High Street, Bluetown, (daughter of Wm Creber, Shipwright) were married 23rd August 1841 in the Parish Church of Minster in Sheppey, Kent, England after Banns.[5][6] Bluetown was a community on the southern edge of Sheerness Dockyard, so it is likely that the brides father worked in the dockyard, and that Snake, Hector, Castor and/or Spy were home ported there.
