Orange Blossom: COLLYER-COOK. Although only friends of the bride and bridegroom were present, a pretty wedding took place at the Gorae Church on the 5th inst., when Mr Thomas Leslie, eldest son of Mr Thomas Collyer, of Gorae and Condah, and Miss Marian, fifth daughter of Mr. E. W. Cook, of North Portland, were married. Canon Carmichael was the officiating clergyman, Mr George Cook, brother of the bride, best man, and Miss Violet Collyer, sister of the bride-groom, bridesmaid. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. John Cook. The church, which had been very becomingly decorated for Easter, was particularly appropriate for the wedding also, and all passed off pleasantly. Many good and useful presents were received, including several cheques. The brides dress was white embroidered voile, and white hat was worn. The bridesmaid wore white embroidered muslin, pink trimmings and white hat. The bride's travelling dress was navy blue. The ceremony over, the party proceeded to Heywood, the future home of the young couple, who carry with them the best wishes of a large number of friends for a happy wedded life.
